United Nations, there is an end to the veto power: the historic decision is welcomed to applause

New York The 193 members of the United Nations General Assembly passed a resolution calling on the five permanent members of the Security Council to justify their use of the veto. The reform, the approval of which was met with long applause, received a powerful impetus with the Russian invasion of Ukraine. At other times, a proposal to put veto limits on has been nipped in the bud.
