Blizzard explains why there are no new chapters at launch – Nerd4.life

Joe Shelley, Game Director Diablo 4In an interview, they explained the reasons for not attending when the game was launched unpublished chaptersBut only the old glories from earlier chapters of the series.

The fifth and final category of Diablo 4, Necromancer, was introduced during the Xbox & Bethesda Showcase 2022. A return is undoubtedly welcome, but it’s also true that a portion of the fans would have preferred some news on that front. Shelley explained that the decision not to include new categories was made based on players’ expectations and making sure that some aspects of previous games are also present in Diablo 4, albeit reworked in a more modern way.

“Diablo 4 is in many ways a love letter to our fans,” Shelley said. “We’ve focused a lot on the ‘Back to Darkness’ theme. “And we know that when we make Diablo they have very high expectations thanks to Diablo 2: Resurrected and Diablo 3 and the previous games. So we know there are a lot of elements that should already be there and as far as the chapters are concerned, we wanted to make sure that the kind of experiences we had Players fondly remember it existed, but in a more modern version.”

The Diablo 4 classes present at launch will be Barbarian, Druid, Necromancer, Cutthroat, and Enchantress. Blizzard recently confirmed that the game will receive post-launch expansions, which could add more categories to the game.

Diablo 4 will be available for PC and console during 2023. Subscriptions for the beta version are now open.
