Covid: 39,474 positive, 41 victims, a positive rate of 17.3% – Medicine

39,474 new infections with the Covid virus were recorded during the past 24 hours, according to data from the Ministry of Health. Yesterday there were 10,371. The number of victims was 73, compared to 41 yesterday. A total of 228,559 swabs were performed, including antigen and molecular, and the positivity rate was 17.3%, up from 13.9% yesterday. 183 patients were admitted to intensive care, 10 less than yesterday. The number of daily admissions is 24. The number of hospital residents in regular wards is 4,199, or 11 less than yesterday.

“Even if Covid-19 is no longer at the fore, the pandemic is not over. We need to be prepared for the next few months. We will continue to work with and on behalf of Member States to ensure adequate vaccine supplies for their needs, including potential adapted vaccines.” EU Health Commissioner Stella Kyriakides wrote on Twitter.
