Boys from Fossano and Server write to the Pope: A letter from the Vatican arrives at the school

“We were amazed by his wonderful smile: it is a smile that expresses the tenderness of God, that tenderness which the whole world needs today. We children also need the mercy and tenderness of God: we often pretend to be old, need nothing, and hide our weaknesses, but in reality we are weak ». It is one of the phrases of a letter sent to Pope Francis by secondary school children of the Preparatory Secondary School in Via Dante in Fossano and Server of the Comprehensive Institute “Andrea Baglieri”.

The idea for the letter was from Professor Maurizio Giuliti, a teacher of religion, after the students saw Fabio Fazio’s meeting with the Pope in class. “The students – explains the professor – wrote some impressions and questions to the Pope.” One day the school received a reply from the State Secretariat. “A pleasant surprise – says the teacher – and above all a great joy for the children.” The intentions he kept in him and in his heart he sent his blessing.”
