Covid: Sardinia cases more than tripled, 2,600 cases in 24 hours
A surge in cases in Sardinia where Covid infections more than tripled in 24 hours, from 753 to 2,658 (of which 2,477 were diagnosed as antigenic). However, the number of swabs performed also increased: a total of 8,417 tests were processed, including molecular and antigenic tests, compared to 1,332 the day before, with a positive rate that decreased from 56.7% to 29.4%. There is also the death of an 80-year-old woman and an 88-year-old man, both residents of the province of Southern Sardinia. The number of patients admitted to the intensive care unit decreased by one (7), while the number of patients in the medical field increased by nine to more than 100 (103). Cases of home isolation are also on the rise (+1363) which is now 16,238.
