Suarez’s examination: the public prosecutor requests the acquittal of Juve’s lawyer

At the preliminary hearing, the Prosecutor General of Perugia requested that the other accused be referred to trial

Lawyer Maria Cesarina Turco acquitted, indictment of the other accused: These are the requests of the Perugia Prosecutor at the preliminary hearing on the alleged “farce” examination of the knowledge of the Italian Luis Suarez supports at the University of Foreigners of Perugia.

In the charge, Turco is referred to as the “appointed attorney by Juventus Football Club”. The attorney general repeated in the courtroom the request to indict former Brigadier General Giuliana Grigo Poli, then Director General Simone Oliveri and Professor Stefania Spina.

The Turkish lawyer – who is reading the indictment – had been accused of being a “moral rival and instigator” in connection with the disputed crime of ideological falsehood in Suárez’s examination held in September 2020 in Perugia. The player at the time was one of Juve’s potential targets. The acquittal was filed by Prosecutor Rafael Cantone and alternate Paolo Abretti. In the courtroom there was also the defender of Turco, lawyer Franco Cope.
