The 109th edition of the Tour de France kicks off today from Copenhagen as Tadej Pojjacar seeks his third success in a row in the race. It begins with a time trial – start at 4 pm – on a 13.2-kilometre route, marked by about twenty bends: contestants will pass Tivoli Park and the Little Mermaid, emblematic places of the Danish capital. Two-time world champion Filippo Gana is one of the candidates and is aiming straight for the first yellow jersey: it will start on 17.03. The first to start is Frenchman Lecroq, at age 16. The last to start will be Marc Soler, at 18.55.
