Bill Gates publishes autobiography of 74, earned $12,000

Bill Gates publishes his autobiography on LinkedIn in 1974, and it is written on a typewriter. The Microsoft co-founder, born in 1955, and now a philanthropist involved in the fight against coronavirus and climate change, had already gained knowledge in the field of IT 48 years ago. Despite being in the prime of his academic career (“currently enrolled in his freshman year at Harvard College”), William H. Gates was already able to secure a salary of $12,000. A detail that does not go unnoticed, in fact the user comments: “The salary of $ 12,000 48 years ago is great for recent graduates: you have always done a good job.”

Gates also wrote that he is collaborating with Paul Allen, with whom he will found Microsoft in Albuquerque, New Mexico, in 1975. In a resume, the entrepreneur then specifies that he has no workplace location restrictions and shares some personal data, such as height and weight. Thus it turns out that Bill Gates was 1 meter in length and 78 in height and his weight at that time was 59 kg.

Finally, the home address also appears, as he was living with his parents when he was not studying at Harvard.
