Post a PlayStation Arabia profile on Instagram File artistic work unpublished from God of War: Ragnarok Which immortalizes angry Freya as she attacks Kratos and Atreus. Those who have played God of War 2018 will notice some interesting details, but for all the others we wouldn’t recommend not reading ahead to avoid spoiler.
Yesterday, Sony finally announced the release date of God of War: Ragnarok for PS4 and PS5, and also revealed a series of special and collectible editions. With a launch date scheduled a few months from now, the marketing campaign has inevitably begun as well, so it’s reasonable to expect a slew of images, artwork, and details about the new Kratos and Atreus saga in the coming weeks.
In the artwork published by PlayStation Arabia, we see Freya attacking Kratos and Atreus, both on a sled. The scene seems to recall one of the sequences played in the game demo trailer introduced in September of last year, in which we saw the goddess of Norse mythology criticizing the two protagonists in search of revenge for the murder of her son, Baldur.
The interesting details that appear from the picture are the two Suites by “Valkyrie” by Freya. We know that Odin had snatched her from her earlier, who also cursed her, forbidding her to leave Midgard or harm any living thing as described in our own dedicated to the goddess of seduction and beauty. Somehow, Freya must have been able to regain her power as Queen of the Valkyries and will use it against Kratos and Atreus.
God of War: Ragnarok will be available for PS5 and PS4 starting from November 9, 2022.
